We loved working again with the team at WOVEN on the 2025 festival which saw more than 120 events happening across the whole of Kirklees, from community organisations, venues, local artists, schools and the textile industry, coming together to celebrate the district’s rich textile history and contemporary scene.
More than 25,000 visitors enjoyed hands-on workshops, exhibitions, installations, creative gatherings and curated events.
A highlight of WOVEN 2025 was the installation of The Red Dress at Oakwell Hall. This internationally acclaimed collaborative embroidery project, from artist Kirstie MacLeod, features the work of more than 300 embroiderers from 51 countries and drew more than 3,000 visitors from all around the UK.
5,000 visitors joined the joyful finale at the Dewsbury Mash Up, in partnership with The Arcade Dewsbury, a fabulous day-long celebration of textiles, food and fun for everyone.
