In 2022, The Cogency supported creative organisation Trigger with social media strategy, implementation and content creation for two headline projects: PoliNations in Birmingham – a spectacular pop-up installation and series of live events during the Commonwealth Games and The Hatchling’s appearance at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Parade.

Our work included:

  • Audit of existing Trigger social media activity and recommendations for development
  • Raising brand awareness of Trigger as the makers of PoliNations and The Hatchling
  • Growing social following across all Trigger-related channels
  • Managing on the ground capture of content at the Platinum Jubilee Parade
  • Creating a plan for social media opportunities with creative team, community groups, schools, team etc.
  • Advising on paid social media spend

Key results included:

  • A nearly 5000 increase in followers, with Instagram seeing the largest percentage increase (195%) in a period of just over a month
  • An over 7% increase of website visitors from organic social during the same period
  • Instagram impressions up by 1700% and X/Twitter impressions up by 711%

In 2024 we were invited back to work again on delivering social and digital communications, plus paid media spend for several major Trigger projects across England, including capturing and creating content at a range of indoor and outdoor events. In that period, key results have included:

  • Exceeded KPIs set, increasing followers by 4000% on Instagram and 900% on Facebook and establishing a new TikTok channel
  • Increasing reach of posts by 500%, engagement by 400%, link clicks by 100% and impressions by almost 400% on previous period
  • Achieved increase of video views by 1600%
  • Developed a bank of creative film, image and written content to support the storytelling around Trigger events – including reels, gifs, carousels, promotional trailers, interviews and graphics
